Track1 toTrack3 1-3 oral/poster
Track 4 to 6 4-6 oral/poster

CRITERIA AND PROCESS OF ABSTRACT REVIEW

In response to two Calls for Abstracts, a total of 921 abstracts were received. Because of the overwhelming number of abstracts received, as many as 72 reviewers from 15 countries of the Asia Pacific region, had to be identified so that all abstracts could be reviewed. Each reviewer selected specific Tracks for review. For the vast majority, abstracts sent to reviewers were from the same Tracks. In as far as it was possible, abstracts were sent to reviewers who were from the same country and/or familiar with the country from which the abstracts were received. A scoring system was set up to evaluate the abstracts. Each abstract was assigned to two reviewers to ensure objectivity and fairness. All reviewers received standardised guidelines/ criteria for reviewing the abstracts. All abstracts were reviewed on-line.

Within the constraints of time and space, only a limited number of abstracts could be accepted. Consequently, several good abstracts had to be rejected. The largest number of abstracts were rejected from India because the numbers received were large and so their cut-off scores were higher. The effort was to ensure that there was geographic representation from the region. The total number of abstracts that have finally been accepted is 343 from 42 countries. Of these, 181 have been accepted for oral presentation and 162 for poster presentation.

List of Accepted Abstracts

A large number of abstracts were submitted for the 4thAsia Pacific Conference on Reproductive and Sexual Health and Rights. A limited number had to be selected for presentation due to space and time constraints.

This is to inform you with sincere regret, that those abstracts not in the below list (List of Accepted Abstracts), have not been accepted by the reviewers.

Listed below are the accepted abstracts by Presenting Author and the Category of presentation. The category of presentation, poster or oral, of your abstract was determined by the scores assigned by the reviewers.

Poster Presentations

A wide variety of topics based on the six track - specific sexual and reproductive health and rights related issues would be displayed with a daily change. Presenters will be at their posters at the designated times to provide further information and answer questions on their poster presentation.

You will be provided a display area where there will be 2 poster panel boards. Each display panel measures 03 feet wide and 04 feet high, in a L shape. Your presentation has to be in the form of posters which you can display on the boards. This will take place in a hall where there will be poster presentations of all the themes of a specific track.
