| BANKING, CREDIT CARD AND EXCHANGE |
Hyderabad has an excellent network of banking
facilities provided by both national and private banks. ATM Services
are widely spread throughout the city. Many hotels, restaurants and
up-market stores accept credit cards, mainly Visa, Master Card, Amex
and Diners. Banking Hours: Weekdays 10.00 am to 2 pm; Saturdays till
noon; Sunday closed. |

| TIPPING |
Tipping is entirely at your discretion. If you wish
to do so, 10 % is considered sufficient. Taxi drivers do not expect
to be tipped but if you want to give them any small change from your
fare, it is perfectly acceptable. |
| SHOPPING CENTERS |
Main shopping areas are Abids, Basheerbagh, Nampally,
Laal Bazaar and Sultan Bazar in Hyderabad and MG Road and
Rashtrapati Road in Secunderbad. The markets around Charminar are
favoured for bangles and pearls. Hyderabad is synonymous with
pearls. Cultured pearls studded in gold and silver jewellery of
exquisite design are a specialty. |
